Prince Michel Vineyard and Winery was founded 24 years ago by Parisians Jean and Sylviane Leducq. Prince Michel soon grew to become one of the largest, best distributed, and most recognized wineries in the state. In an industry now comprised of over 100 different Virginia wineries, Prince Michel is undeniably the most established and consistently respected winery in the state.
New owners, Terry and Kristin Holzman, brought their enthusiasm, talents, vision, and hospitality to Prince Michel in July 2005. Their vision for Prince Michel Vineyards and Winery is centered on successfully providing customers with the best quality wine in a welcoming atmosphere. Their commitment to producing fine, award-winning wines continues.
Located in the heart of Virginia wine country, Prince Michel Vineyards and Winery is beautifully situated among the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This state-of-the-art winemaking facility gives guests the experience of a large, east-coast winery at its best. The impressive tasting room and gift shop are glass-enclosed and give the impression of "floating" above the large cellar and barrel room. Other venues include a banquet room, large atrium and garden room, museum, private tasting library, and barrel cave. Outdoor courtyard, patios, and acres of vineyards and rolling hillsides further enhance the beauty and experience that is Prince Michel.
Prince Michel has opened itself up to both private and corporate functions as well as regular scheduled dinners and other events open to the public. Enjoy a complimentary wine tasting and tour with knowledgeable, friendly staff. The gift shop is beyond compare with new and exciting items personally selected for all levels of wine enthusiasm.
