Q: Will my auto insurance policy cover an exotic rental vehicle?
A: Yes. The coverage amount on your Private Auto Policy (PAP), which you already have in place for your daily-use vehicle(s), should extend over to an exotic rental vehicle. To verify full rental car coverage, simply contact your insurer directly and ask. In our experience, very few have been denied coverage, and the inquiry process is quick and painless. If your PAP limits are too low, most carriers will let you increase them for the duration of the rental period.
Q: Can I buy supplemental insurance from you for the rental period?
A: No, we do not sell supplemental automobile insurance because every collision damage waiver (CDW) or loss damage waiver (LDW) we have ever encountered excludes exotic vehicles in the fine print. The standard car rental loss and damage insurance included with Visa and MasterCard cards excludes exotic rental automobiles. However, American Express offers its upgraded Premium Car Rental Protection (PCRP), which is the only plan underwritten by a credit card company, to our knowledge, that offers supplemental liability coverage for an exotic rental vehicle.
Q: What is the minimum amount of time I can rent a vehicle?
A: For a self-drive rental, 12 hours is the minimum on weekdays (Mon-Thur), and 24 hours on weekends (Fri-Sun). For a chauffeured rental, the minimum is four (4) hours.
Q: How do I get the rental or reservation process started?
A: Quite easily. Click to open our one-page Rental Application Form. (You can also find the link to this form on our Self-Drive Policies page.) Print the form, fill it out completely, and fax it back to us at 703-783-7575. Upon receipt, we will contact you to finalize the reservation process and confirm the rental.
Q: How long does it take to process my application?
A: In most cases, it takes about one (1) to two (2) days from the time we receive your faxed application. In rare circumstances, processing may take up to five (5) days. We recommend that you initiate the one-time application process at least a week prior to the date you wish to rent a vehicle. Repeat clients may bypass the application process and merely call to set up a reservation.
Q: Why are your rates so much higher than a regular rental car company's?
A: We actually don't get this question that often, since most people understand the value of our service, but the question deserves an educated response. Not only do the MSRPs of our exotic vehicles begin in the upper $100,000's, but our commercial auto insurance premiums are multiple times higher than those of private-use vehicles. Add on the high costs of maintaining an exotic and the rather substantial licensing fees for operating a car rental company in the good state of Virginia, and our rates start looking like bargains. In fact, our rates are significantly lower than those of most major U.S. markets, which means less margin for us but a better deal for area car lovers. Q: When do you plan to add another car to your fleet? What car will it be?
A: The decision is based on many factors, some dictated by market demand, available supply and even our commercial auto insurance. We are as eager as the public to acquire and offer the most exceptional and desirable vehicles for this area, but the last thing we want to do is to add just any car for the sake of adding a vehicle and end up sacrificing quality and even possibly safety. We know we haven't directly answered the question, but if you would like to know if or when a particular vehicle will be added, you may ask to be placed on a contact list to be among the first in the area to know when your requested vehicle arrives.
Q: Can I come into your office and see the vehicles?
A: Unfortunately, we do not have a showroom at our Tysons Corner office, and the vehicles are, for obvious reasons, not garaged on site. However, we do accommodate viewings by appointment.
Q: Do you provide your services for corporate incentives?
